This is the 3rd CLA Shooting Brake to be featured on Avantturous’s blog page. This Shooting Brake is also part of the Singaporean wagons series that I had the honor to photograph during my visit in February of this year. The owner, Faiz, was kind enough to make time for the photoshoot; even during his busy schedule. To be fair, he even took half day of work to meet up at the photo shoot location (thank you for that!). Truth be told, I was a bit nervous at first because Faiz himself is a photographer and he has a great photo portfolio to boot. But hey, we are here because of our love for wagons, right?!?
As a part of local car club: STNCSG, Faiz concentrated on exterior modification of his CLA Shooting Brake. His quest to get the wagon’s appearance freshened up started by replacing the front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper with the facelift AMG line equipment. Quad exhaust tips and rear diffusers were also added to make the rear end more aggressive. Canards were also added to the front bumper to compliment the more aggressive AMG line bumper design. Car was then dropped LOW and a set of Konig Hypergram wheels were added to seal the deal. I really like what Faiz had done to his CLA Shooting Brake. And as a big fan of the sleek design of Mercedes Benz’s Shooting Brake, it is very saddening to know that Mercedes Benz has no plan to continue making any more of these awesome wagons in the future.
