Decided to do something a little different this week by posting an update on both AVANTTUROUS and our MKIV Jetta Wagon and what is planned for it going forward into 2024.
Let’s start with AVANTTUROUS… Earlier this month, a poll was made to vote on a youtube channel addition to our weekly blog. The result was in and YES, it is a go!

So the Jetta Wagon… Most of you probably had seen on IG that our wagon just hit 200K miles on January 1st this year! While the idea of “upgrading” into a MK6 Jetta Sportwagen TDI is tempting, I think I would like to enjoy the good ol’ for at least another couple of years… Having just rolled off 200K mark, I will be doing some regularly scheduled maintenance:
- Timing Belt
- Oil Change
- Dogbone Mount Bushing Replacement
- Coolant Bottle Replacement
- Upgrading oil cooler line to braided hose and AN fittings
And my passenger’s side headlight lens decided to crack two weeks ago (Lovely!), just ordered a pair of new glass lenses and they are currently in transit.
Oh yeah, the wagon hasn’t been washed at all this year so it will get cleaned up very shortly here!
Anyhow… enough rambling on our MKIV Jetta Wagon. We will be back on our scheduled programming next Wednesday! Enjoy these photos!
