Panji’s S212 Benz Estate is the 2nd Indonesian wagon that we feature on Avantturous blog. Coincidentally, this wagon is also BRABUS tuned! In the world where everyone is pushed to be “original” or “creative,” we often come across car enthusiasts doing a “mix-n-match.” For the deep pocketed fellows, going the “custom” route is sometimes preferred. While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, we sometimes would find that mix-n-match parts “don’t necessarily flow” with the car’s design and characteristic. In other word, YES! We find it fresh when folks like Panji decided to go Single Tuner. And YES! We need more people like Panji.
Panji’s BRABUS themed S212 can be seen all over its exterior: starting from its front bumper, sideskirts, rear bumper, and its BRABUS Monoblock F wheels. The gunmetal finish on the Brabus wheels really compliment the black exterior paint. BREMBO big brake kit were also added to provide extra stopping power. Being Panji’s prized possession, the black paint on his S212 is immaculate! I did my best to capture how well taken care of this Estate really is! (And hope that I delivered LOL)
The photoshoot session with Panji and his car may have been postponed many times due to inconsistent bad weather and scheduling conflicts, but the quality of this car made the wait worthwhile!
WHY A WAGON?
After seeing it in person, I felt that this was the perfect wagon for me. At the time, this wagon was owned by the public notary who happened to be working at the same firm as I in Surabaya. Once I was done with my assignment in Surabaya, I decided to relocate this car back to Jakarta (which was the place where this wagon was originally purchased from). Ohh… I chose a wagon because of its practicality, a good amount of trunk space and S212 is quite rare in Indonesia (which is equal to good investment on my part)
