Avantturous is back in action for this week’s Wagon Wednesday blog entry after deciding to slow down a bit on social media platforms in order to catch up with personal life and spend more time with my family. After all, I am a big believer of the saying:  “Family First and The Rest Will Follow!” After featuring Martin’s Accord Wagon (Entry #47) a few weeks ago, it sparked my interest to find more of these underappreciated survivors. And that was when I came across Kevin’s CB9 Accord Wagon. After exchanging messages with Kevin, we are back in business, baby!

Kevin’s first step in the wagon realm started when he received this Accord Wagon from his dad as a graduation gift. Being at a young age at the time, Kevin thought that the wagon styling wasn’t best suited for him. His original intention was to have this wagon as a fix and flip in order to get something that he desired more. Over time… the more money and effort that Kevin put into this car, the fonder he became of it. After deciding on keeping the wagon, it was time to be more serious with the build. The wagon is currently lowered on a set of coilovers and riding on a set of Klutch ML7 wheels (finished in black with polished lips). Car’s interior is kept mostly stock; with the exception of NRG steering wheel and short shifter. What shines the most from this wagon is actually under the hood! The F20B engine pairing with PLM Power Driven 4-1 Turbular Header look WILD! AEM intake with blue piping was lastly added to accentuate the factory blue valve color on the F20B. Fun fact: F20B is the low-compression version of H22A designed to comply with many countries’ sub-2000cc displacement tax. YES, it has dual cams and VTEC! F20B is known for its unique blue valve cover.

After building the wagon to its current status, Kevin is finally content with it. With a wagon that looks good and an engine that runs strong; “LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL…” (Just as the license plate holder suggests!)
